What is DIONIT?
DIONIT is a disposable powder medical device for extemporaneous oral suspension, indicated for the oral treatment of acute diarrhea and chronic symptoms of painful gastrointestinal disorders.

Mechanism of action
The diosmectite is a natural clay characterized by a structure of fine overlapping crystalline lamellae which gives a high absorbing power, such to make it capable of incorporate the liquids present in the intestinal lumen, increasing stool consistency and slowing expulsion. In this way DIONIT can also reduce the risk of dehydration resulting from diarrhea.
The absorbance power of diosmectite also allows DIONIT to interact with the glycoproteins of the mucous layer covering the gastroduodenal wall, changing their physical characteristics so to form a protective gel against acid hypersecretion and gastrolesive substances. Fibers, thanks to their bifidogenic and lactogenic effects, are able to restore the endogenous microflora balance, thus normalizing intestinal transit.

Ingredients
One sachet of DIONIT  contains:
Diosmectite 3g, Fiber 2 g (inulin, galacto-oligosaccharides, fructooligosaccharides, isomalt-oligosaccharides, polidextrose, lactulose).
